My Crocheted Cupcakes in a Magazine!

Early this month, I received a copy of Interweave Crochet Magazine. It's the summer 2009 issue and aside from the many beautiful projects, it also includes a feature on crocheted food entitled "Crochet a Picnic." You can see the photo of my amigurumi cupcakes along with candypopcreations' delicious-looking crocheted sandwich, hamburger and cookies:

Sundae Crochet Pattern in a Treasury

Today I learned that my Sundae amigurumi pattern is included in a treasury by Victoria of visart.etsy.com. She is a jewelry designer based in Israel and she makes beautiful clay beads.
The title of her treasury is "You Are Ruining My Diet" and it includes many sweet stuff :)

Crochet Cotton Thread #8

Here are the colors of crochet cotton thread I have and can get for you :) These are mercerised cotton, size 8 (the same kind that I used for the paper cup of the cupcake pattern I designed). Last June, I had a big project and I needed to get all the colors available, but the store won't sell me a color card. So I purchased all solid colors and made color cards myself (you may click on the photos to enlarge). Crocheting all these little squares took an entire day!

Mercerised Crochet Cottom Size 8
Price of $1.50 per ball
Shipping and handling for 4 balls is $6.50 (US/Europe)
Shipping and handling for 10 balls is $12.50 (US/Europe)

If you need some, please leave a comment with your e-mail address, or better yet, send me a message through etsy. I will list your orders in my etsy shop and you can buy from there :)

Thanks for looking!

More Amigurumi Cupcake Plushies

Here are 2 other cupcake plushies I crocheted.
In the pattern, I changed the colors to have a decorative rainbow paper cup.

I really like this colorful cup above. It's a great way to use up the short threads I have.

This one below, I used blue and light blue for the paper cup.

I got slightly longer beads too so I sew them to the frosting, hoping that they'd look more like sprinkles.

The cupcake pattern is available in my etsy shop.

I finished my jewelry projects then Christmas came and I made some presents. It was a busy holidays and I didn't have time to take photos of the finished hats I made.

This year, I started off by finalizing the re-written bunny and panda crochet patterns I thought I had finished in November.
The old version of this pattern were written by me in 2007.

Thanks so much for looking!

These dolls are among my early designs when I was starting out writing crochet patterns. I wrote and sold the pattern in 2007, and a few months ago, I decided to improve the pattern and the photos. The result is the pair above. I have sent the new version to everyone who purchased the old version from my etsy store, and I hope they will like it more :)
